Opening Speaker – Rupert Boneham, Survivor Millionaire Winner and Philanthropist
Rupert Boneham is best known for his accolades on two seasons of the CBS hit reality series, Survivor. Competing on both Survivor: Pearl Islands and Survivor: All Stars, Rupert quickly became the all time favorite competitor in the series. Realizing that even last place brought in a cash prize, Rupert was optimistic that his involvement in Survivor might help with financing his monitoring with young people. Once Survivor: Pearl Islands aired, he “got his game on”, Rupert’s entire world changed. Rupert made a name for himself in TV history as the most popular Survivor castaway ever. His popularity brought him back for another season of Survivor, this time to face off against the All-Stars from previous seasons. Sadly, Rupert was voted off the island, but something truly life changing awaited him at the finale. Rupert was awarded a check for one million dollars, after being selected by viewers as “America’s Favorite Survivor”. A large portion of his winnings was used to create “Rupert’s Kids”, the culmination of 20+ years of working to impact the lives of youth. With his unassuming nature, desire to help people and a big heart Rupert continues to raise funds and awareness for Rupert’s Kids. www.rupertskids.org

John is the author of Climb On! Dynamic Strategies for Teen Success, 52 Creative Date Ideas That Cost Less Than Two Movie Tickets, and several resources for small-business success.
The success lessons John teaches are derived from his experience working on the Senate floor in the United States Capitol. John has been an instructor of rock climbing, white-water canoeing, wilderness survival, sailing, snow-hiking, and participated in dozens of adventures around the world.
