Leadership Development Academy
The Leadership Development Academy (LDA) is literally a conference within a conference. Over 1,000 DECA members will partake in two days of intense leadership training at the International Career Development Conference. They will learn crucial chapter management skills, general leadership skills, and much more. The LDA is an exciting and educational experience for all who are involved. DECA is offering a Management Institute for graduating seniors. This Management Institute is designed to give graduating seniors the skills they will need to succeed in their future careers in marketing and management.Evaluation Criteria
Because Michigan DECA is allotted a limited number of participants in each academy, this application procedure has been developed to select the attendees. All applications are due to Michigan DECA by February 23, 2008. Applications may not be faxed.The students selected will be announced during the Awards Session on Saturday Night at the State Conference.

Applications can be obtained on the Michigan DECA web site at www.mideca.org.
Each chapter can submit applications for up to two (2) students for each academy.
All completed applications are due to Michigan DECA by February 23, 2008.
