DECA's scholarship program provides over $250,000 in scholarships at the International Career Development Conference each year. More than 50 corporations provide scholarships through the DECA Scholarship Program. DECA Inc. administers the program based on guidelines set by the donor. DECA scholarships are strictly merit based.

The Harry A. Applegate/DECA Scholarship

For individuals who are currently in National DECA and are pursuing a two- or four-year course of study in marketing, merchandising or management. The applicant must meet the state deadline of February 1. The State than selects the top eight applications to be submitted to National DECA.

All applications are mailed in a packet in October/November to DECA advisors. All corporate application deadlines are February 15.

Professional Development

The professional development scholarship program is for DECA advisors that want to further their education for careers in marketing, management or marketing education. Some scholarships can be used to reimburse fees of attendance at an annual conference that provides continuing education credits in their field such as Conclave or ACTE.
